The geometric silk scarf of my dreams

Silk Samsara scarf by Brooklyn designer Julie Thevanot

"A 100% silk scarf that is both nice and tough."

Scarves are both functional and decorative. In a sense, they are like good friends who not only look out for your best interest, but make you look good. Whether you're trying to brave a windy day or in need of punching up a bland outfit, adding a scarf can make a difference.

Throughout my years of shopping, I've become more picky with the types of scarves I add to my collection. They need to be well constructed, stylish and go with more than one outfit. Quite the task for one accessory wouldn't you say? Luckily, I found a scarf for you (and me) that would rise to the occasion.

Enter the Samsara scarf by Julie Thevanot, a Brooklyn based designer I discovered on a trip to New York while wandering around the Brooklyn Flea market. Note: there were no scarves for sale at the market, but I picked up this gradient necklace, and made a point to look up the designer when I got home to see her full range of products.

Measuring 48'x48', this 100% silk twill scarf could be the hero your outfit needs. The geometric pattern with sherbet coloured tones is surrounded by a shimmery black border, making it a versatile piece as it combines soft with tough.

Oh, scarf of my dreams, I'm already imagining the many outfits you could be a part of. Let me count some of the ways:

  •  Edgy (leather bomber, t-shirt, jeans, and ankle boots)
  •  Laid-back (t-shirt or tank dress)
  • Office (dress shirt under a knit with the scarf looped / tied around your neck)

Made in France, I'm adding this scarf to my shopping cart and racing to checkout.
